Biography

Chris has been a strong voice for his community as Member of Parliament for St. Catharines.

Since being elected, Chris has worked hard to deliver results for residents of St. Catharines including the full rehabilitation of the Port Dalhousie Piers, historic investments in public transit and affordable housing and a meaningful reduction in the number of Niagara residents who live in poverty.

In 2017, Chris was appointed Deputy House Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, making him the youngest Member of Parliament to ever hold that office.

Chris has been appointed as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Transportation, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Canada, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Heritage, and has served most recently as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities and to the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development

Before entering politics Chris completed his undergraduate degree at Queen's University and attended Law School at the University of Windsor.

After completing his Law Degree, and while practicing law in St. Catharines, Chris also served as Chair of Quest Community Health Centre, a not-for-profit Community Health Centre in St. Catharines.

Chris was born and raised in Niagara. He currently lives in St. Catharines with his two young children, Ethan and Hannah.
